Trying to move to mac at home

I’ve been a casual mac user for some time, but the Apple hardware I had was always used alongside Linux and/or Windows based computers. Now that I have a MacBook Pro 13″ and a time capsule, I will try to use the notebook as my primary PC. Let’s see how long I can handle OS X on my laptop without dropping a Ubuntu Linux CD in the drive.

As to why I bought a Mac in the first place: it is more or less an eat your own dogfood thing. More and more people are considering macs at least in part because I tell them to at least try it. I still love Ubuntu for a lot of things, but it is just not something I can recommend to non-IT computer users. Ubuntu really needs more well known application developers to jump aboard.
