Switch update

This week I was able to remove two things on my 'switching to linux on the desktop' tasklist:

Configure remote control / lirc on media system (Trinity)

I haven't actually used it yet, but keypresses on my remote control are visible within the operating system

Fix wireless driver iBook

I did a small concession on this one. The laptop got stuck with a non working keyboard after the kernel update from hell, so I reinstalled it with Ubuntu Dapper Drake (a Debian based distro). After spending too much time getting the right firmware for the Airport2 / broadcom card, I'm now finally able to connect to non encrypted and WEP encrypted accesspoints. Fantastic!
