Social break

Decided to take a break from social media.

On my laptops I added the following entries to /etc/hosts:

0.0.0.0 facebook.com www.facebook.com
0.0.0.0 instagram.com www.instagram.com
0.0.0.0 twitter.com www.twitter.com

I know this is not watertight, but when typing any of these URLS I will be reminded that I blocked them for now, getting out of the habit of checking these things too often to my liking :-)

On my iPhone I used screentime to limit access to these sites to 1 minute a day, which is practically blocked.
