Reconsidering website setup

I've had a tech blog website on and off over the last twenty years or so. I enjoy this very much. So this will stay.
A couple of years ago I moved to a static generated website. This is the part I am reconsidering. I've been using wordpress (again) on some other sites. And I really like how it gets out of the way and just lets me concentrate on the actual content.
With hugo, or pelican etc, I need to think about Markdown syntax, image placement and resizing, getting a tagging structure that kinda works, having some kind search arrangement to rediscover my own ramblings and so on.
There is ofcourse the cost of switching. That is why I'm only considering it right now. Maybe there is some awesome migration tool that will help me out. Maybe it will only do 50% of the work. That is what I will try to find out over the coming weeks/months.
Don't hold your breath though, it might take forever. In the mean time I will probably keep updating this site anyway. I think it should prove useful to post that I'm switching to another tool, before actually switching. Then the RSS consuming readers will know that they might have to check the RSS feed URL.
Untill next time!
